Choosing the perfect Toilet

There are several types of toilets on the market today. Design and look is usually what we first focus on for our bathrooms, but did you know you can also select toilets based on height? Toilets come in all types of finishes and features, but traditional toilets are 15 inches high. Toilets that are higher tend to be more comfortable, usually between 17 inches and 19 inches.

Some benefits to a higher toilet simply make it easier to sit down and stand up. A comfort height toilet is better for taller people, seniors and anyone with knee or back pains.

However, there are drawbacks to the higher toilets. Some experts argue that a lower stance is best to mimic the “squat” our bodies prefer. Plus higher toilets can be tricky for children.
